Advanced Obedience Academy for Elite Cadets
Propel your Cadets education in our Advanced Obedience Academy for Elite Cadets! This Academy is offered exclusively to cadets who have attended our Puppy Academy and/or Basic Obedience Academy training. We pre-screen all cadets for the ability to advance their obedience education. If your dog is selected to attend our Advanced Obedience Academy for Elite Cadets, he/she will enjoy learning skills that are not only exciting and fun but also give you something to show off to all your friends, family, and neighbors.!
Advanced Obedience Academy for Elite Cadets focuses on 100% off-leash control for your dog, using balanced training techniques. Here at The 1 Dog Trainer Academy, we practice love and respect with proper obedience education for your dog. We know that when your dog is given love, respect, and proper education, your dog will not have urges to run away or be disrespectful when a command is given. This has been proven repeatedly by our graduating cadets and proud owners.
Not only do we reinforce all Basic Obedience Academy commands already taught, but we also take it to the next level and teach all commands off-leash. Including a few new maneuvers on and off leash, your dog will learn to obey you with on-the-fly commands of sit/stay and/or down/stay and Outboard (at a distance) commands of sit/down/stay. The goal is focused on off-leash and impulse control training in distracting environments and situations such as parks, front/back yards, family gatherings, and even the while at play!
We also incorporate field trips to pet-friendly stores and downtown Deland to enhance your Elite Cadets’ social training experience.
Details and requirements
Cadets in Advanced Obedience Academy for Cadets will also receive:
- 12 days of training at our academy
- Owner drop-offs on a Monday and pickups on a Saturday
- Behavior and command review with owners on the day of pick up (1 hour)
- 3 Follow-up review classes after picking up
- Bath, Brush Out, Nail Train, and Ear cleaning before pick up
- Proper training collar used during your Cadet’s training.
Basic Obedience Academy for Cadets eligibility: we encourage all breeds within the age of 23 weeks to 6 years.
Requirements: All dogs must be current and have proof of Rabies, DHLP & Bordatella, monthly flea/tick prevention, and heartworm prevention.

We require a $200.00 Non-Refundable deposit to hold your reservation.

*Transportation fee may apply to all clients outside the 45-mile radius of the Academy location.

We respectfully ask you to refrain from taking your Elite Cadet to any dog parks, doggie daycares, and boarding facilities 10 days prior to your visit.
WE WILL NOT BRING A ELITE CADET INTO OUR ACADEMY DIRECTLY FROM A RESCUE GROUP, SHELTER, OR PET STORE. YOUR ELITE CADET MUST HAVE BEEN IN YOUR HOME FOR AT LEAST 30 DAYS PRIOR TO TRAINING.
