I highly recommend Sharon and her staff. Madi has been to Sharon for puppy training, obedience training, and boarding. Everyone compliments us on how good and obedient Madi is. You know Sharon is a good trainer when the dogs love her so much and are so excited to see her. Sharon and her staff provide stellar service and follow-up. Worth every penny!

Pictures of the dogs at playtime are posted every day on Facebook. Sharon will also text you with updates on how your dog is doing.
My dog Massimo went to puppy camp for two weeks and the pictures and texts were very reassuring to me. It was nice to see how happy Massimo was playing with the other dogs. Sharon also posted one training session of each dog.

To say we believe in The 1 Dog Trainer Academy is an understatement. We started training with Sharon in 2016 with our Golden Doodle, Amelia. Amelia was our first service dog. Three years later, we adopted her sister, Rosalita, and had her trained with Sharon. As time passed Dan needed a larger service dog, so we got Magnum, our beloved Great Dane. He went through 12 months of training with Tammy and unfortunately he passed away.
When it came time to decide on another large dog to be trained for Dan’s specific needs, Tammy was right beside us in the research and vetting process of a breeder and pup. We got Shadow, our Newfoundland, in August, and he has been away at training for 2 weeks, weekly at-home training, and we are now on the path to his certifications and training as a well-rounded service dog.
In the midst of life we decided on an Aussie-doodle, River, and The 1 Dog Trainer Academy has been working with us on his training too. You may think we should know enough about dog training to do it on our own and you could be right. Sharon and Tammy not only teach us about the proper way to train dogs, but also about the nuances of the specific breed we are training. Each dog, each breed has different traits and it is important to understand their personalities and how they will respond to us as individuals.
By having The 1 Dog Trainer Academy work with us and all of our dogs they know and understand Dan and me as people, our personalities, and our abilities. They have taught us how to be consistent in our language with our dogs, consistent in our training, and how to better enjoy each of our babies. The 1 Dog Trainer Academy team is considered our trainers, our experts, and our family. We appreciate all that they do and would do anything for them.
We were so thrilled with Sharon’s capabilities. I would highly recommend her as a very skilled, competent and exceptionally knowledgable trainer. We were amazed with the transformation of Jetta. A 8 month old GSD rescue who was very frightened and anxious. Not only is Sharon exceptional with the 4 legged friends, she also does a great job training the owners as well!!!! Bravo Sharon!
Words cannot express our gratitude towards Sharon, and her work with Brady and our family. It has truly been life changing! We were so desperate to find the “right” trainer for our Lab, Brady and didn’t want to waste any more time or money on the wrong person. Sharon came so highly recommended by Jackie @ Hollywood Houndz whom I completely trust… And she was right!! Sharon came to our home for the initial consult to meet Brady and our family and I could tell immediately that she was the trainer we had been searching for! She is knowledgeable, patient, firm and loving all in one!! We did her two week in board training. Once she brought Brady home she sat with us and went over everything he had learned so that we were all on the same page. She also left us with a manual of everything we had gone over so that we could refer back to it. It wasn’t just about training Brady, she trained our family on how to work with him and continue what he had learned with her. She did follow up visits with us until we were confident with everything. She is always there should we have any questions. Sharon gave us all the tools we needed to be successful! Our only regret was not finding Sharon sooner! We wholeheartedly recommend Sharon’s training. You will not be disappointed in the investment you make in her services, and it will make for a much more peaceful and happy home.

I have been working with Sharon for almost two years. All of my dogs have been cared for and trained by her or her team. My goal was to have two protection dogs. Sharon guided me in the right direction and actually went with me to pick out Shera. Always watching,making recommendations for MY training and behavior as much as the dogs. She treats her clients and the dogs as she would want herself and her animals to be treated. We are now well under way with Shera and I could not be happier. I searched all over to find the right fit. Who knew it would be so close to home. Please do not hesitate to contact her for any training or behavior problem needs. We have been through it all. No offense, but I have the BEST two protection dogs ever, thanks to Sharon Burch. I can’t say enough about her skill set in placing the correct dogs in homes and how much she takes the family dynamic into consideration when weighing her choices. And the training? Well, let’s just say that I don’t worry about our burglar coming back – he’s serving 18.5 years!
She not only trains dogs, but humans as well. (Sometimes I think we are the harder ones to train). Sharon is compassionate, caring, professional and has a great sense of humor. She consults with you on that first session to make sure she understands what you want to get out of the training session. She did not disappoint! My dreams of having well behaved dogs inside and outside of the home have come true! I highly recommend The 1 Dog Trainer Academy.
