Welcome to The 1 Dog Trainer Academy! Located in Volusia County, our dog training school enrolls and trains dogs from all over Central Florida, including sunny Daytona Beach. We’re conveniently located ten minutes from the I-4 off-ramp in Deltona, Florida and we offer the drop off back home with your 1st training session. for all our programs, making our canine training school accessible to the residents of Daytona Beach, Port Orange, Ponce Inlet, New Smyrna Beach, DeLand, and the rest of Volusia County.

We’re an academy-style dog training school (also known as “dog training boot camp”), which means that your dog will be eating, sleeping, playing, and training at our Academy with the rest of our Cadets during their course. Our puppy training, basic obedience training, and advanced obedience training each last two weeks, while our personal protection dog training and service dog training take place over the course of a few months. In addition to our dog training programs, we sell professionally trained dogs, available with obedience-only training, service animal training, or personal protection training. We also offer puppy raising services and dog location services, including a temperament test and health check, to find the perfect dog for you!

Looking for an experienced dog trainer near New Smyrna Beach, Florida? We have fourteen years of professional dog training experience. We are a Professional Member of the APDT, longtime AKC Evaluator, and Certified Service Dog Trainer with PSD Registry. Our school is licensed, insured, and certified in Pet CPR and First Aid. All the dogs who board and train at our Academy stay in our home, not a kennel, which guarantees that all dogs are properly trained and taught indoor and outdoor manners. All of our training methods use positive reinforcement, which makes our Cadets happy members of our pack and yours!

Jump start your puppy’s training with our foundation puppy training classes, designed to help your puppy get the full understanding of proper positions and commands that he/she will need for future obedience training.

Basic Obedience Academy

Enhance your dog’s obedience training by letting him/her attend our Basic Obedience Academy. Where every dog has the chance to be our #1 Cadet! Our basic obedience training will teach your dog leash training and essential commands.

Advanced Obedience Academy

Propel your dog’s education in our Advanced Obedience Academy! Our advanced obedience training classes are offered exclusively to Cadets who have attended our Puppy Academy and/or Basic Obedience Academy.

Service Animal Academy

One of the most inspiring and satisfying services we offer is training assistance dogs for those with disabilities. We are so proud of our Service Dog Academy and the wonderful handlers with which we get the privilege to work.

Personal Protection Academy

Protection training isn’t for everyone or every dog! We are not a sport trainer, but we do believe that some dogs have a natural ability to protect what is theirs and some achieve this through professional canine training.
